We Make the Road by Walking: Conversations on Education and Social Change
The ideal is to fight against the system taking the two fronts, the one internal to the schooling system and the one external to the schooling system. Of course, we have much space outside the system, much more space to work, to make decisions, to choose. We have more space outside the system, but we can create the space inside the system of the subsystem or the schooling in order to occupy the system. …
But as much as possible, we should try to establish good relationships with the experience of people outside the system in order to help what we are trying to do inside. (Paulo Freire, pp. 202-203)

It was a conversation of two illustrious figures in the world of education, ie, PauloFreire and Myles Horton about education and social change. Interesting thing thatmakes them both so similar and different at the same time is the path of life and the choices they are fighting strategies in realizing educational ideas of the people(popular education) for social transformation.
